Kristopher Keating (born 26 November 1988 in Sydney, New South Wales), is an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs of the NRL.[1] He plays as a five-eighth and can operate as a half-back.
He is the younger brother of Parramatta Eels player Matt Keating.
Keating attended Westfields Sports High School, and in 2005 played for the Australian Schoolboys team.[2]
After the sudden departure of Brett Finch in early April 2009, Keating was rushed into the starting side for the Parramatta Eels, playing the role of half-back. Due to his small stature and quick acceleration opposition defenders have trouble tackling him and has broken the defensive line on numerous occasions in his short first-grade career.
He broke his jaw in Round 10 2009 against the Manly Sea Eagles and couldn't make a comeback in the season.
In 2010 he was named on the bench and came on for some short stints at hooker. After a poor display from Parramatta's early rounds, some changes were made and Kris Keating was name on the start on side at five-eight. In succession to his form he was called up to representatives, playing five-eight for City.
Currently he lives in Cecil Hills.
In June 2010, Keating signed with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs starting from 2011.[3]
